Ruth C. Stewlow, 83, of Toledo, OH, and formerly Adrian, MI, died Monday, January 20, 2014 in Windhaven Eldercare, Temperance, MI. Born October 7, 1930 in Monroe, MI, she was the daughter of Daniel and Margaret (Wolf) Davis. She was a 1948 graduate of Adrian High School. Ruth married Jaye R. Stewlow on December 22, 1973. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2013. She was employed by Dr. Richard Gilmartin, M.D. in Adrian, MI and then Lott Industries in Toledo, OH, retiring in 1997. She enjoyed playing golf, sewing, interior decorating, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
Ruth is survived by her loving son, Steve (Darlene) Pifer. Step-daughters, Cheryl Belt and Sheila Stewlow. Sisters, Dorothy Kurtz, twin sister, Rita Trolz and Ann Schultz. 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Pifer and brother, Richard Davis.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am- 12:00 Noon, Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon. Memorials may be made to Promedica Hospice. Interment will be private. www.pawlakfunerslhome.com
